NewsThe Bay Horse is now closedadded: Sunday, June 06, 2004 The Bay Horse at Fairburn has now closed and will shortly be demolished to make way for 24 luxury apartments. The developers Aneal Partnership plan to start work on site during summer 2004 with completion expected in three phases during 2005. The first phase will be completed in late Summer offering nine two-bedroom apartments all with en suite bathrooms. The next phase will be six apartments scheduled during late Autumn and finally the last nine will be available around Christmas time With glorious views over the Fairburn Ings Bird Sanctuary, interest in the apartments has been intense. The site is bordered on three sides, the nature reserve, the Fairburn recreation park, and the A1 trunk road. The A1 trunk road is to be redirected away from Fairburn in December 2004 leaving the existing dual carriageway to be landscaped and downgraded to a standard roadway. This has made the site very desirable and offers a wonderful place to live. The first phase of the development will be offered for sale shortly, to register your interest please contact Michael Pickup on 07836 501536
